ABOUT US

Seeking to walk in truth amid the noise of the world can feel especially heavy during seasons of transition, burnout, stress, or spiritual reflection. God meets us in each of these moments and invites us to bring Him our real, unfiltered lives. At Sheep & Shepherds, we offer a space of rest and accompaniment, walking alongside you with the deep conviction that healing comes from the Lord—Yahweh, the God who is present and near.

As guides, consultants, trainers, and supervisors, our desire is to serve as vessels for the Lord’s work, remaining attentive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and to the unique needs God already sees and knows. Our work together may include prayer, Scripture, Christian-integrated practices, and creative faith experiences grounded in relationship and discernment.

Creation and animals play a meaningful role in this work, offering tangible reminders of God’s creativity, presence, and care. Ground-based interactions with nature and animals—such as horses, donkeys, or lambs—invite intentional presence, often leading to greater clarity in ministry, relationships, boundaries, and daily rhythms, while deepening awareness of God’s purposes.

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9

Mikah Dolphin, M.A., LPC-S (Texas)

Mikah is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with over two decades of experience serving clients. She has supported multidisciplinary teams across various levels of care and settings, and recognizes the deep responsibility entrusted to a leader. Shaped by her own journey, Mikah has experienced how time in creation with animals illuminates God’s intentions, His pala (wondrous deeds) and His desire for relationship with each one He created, inviting a deeper understanding of who He truly is. Seeing this spiritual and emotional healing first-hand has led Mikah to specialize in Animal-Assisted Therapies. She is EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) Certified as a mental health and equine specialist, as well as a SpiritHorse Senior Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Mikah and her loving husband enjoy unwinding with their animals, taking in sunsets by the lake, and laughing through the unexpected adventures that come their way.

Now to Him who is able to immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever! Amen. - Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV
